Andrew Thomas to Big Blue

Andrew Thomas, Offensive Tackle from University of Georgia, selected by the New York Giants as their number one pick (fourth pick overall) in the NFL Draft. The Giants needed a tackle to protect QB Daniel Jones' passing game and create holes for RB Saquon Barkley. GM Dave Gettleman wanted to fix the offensive lineman and went with an OT that played well against an elite conference, SEC.

It is a split decision with fans on social media who wanted an OT and those that wanted a Linebacker such as Isaiah Simmons. Simmons, from Clemson, is an elite athlete that is explosive and demonstrated his abilities during the national championship games. However, the Giants needed someone to protect a franchise Quarterback and Running Back at the same time.
