Big E going Solo

07/25/2020

On Smackdown, Kofi Kingston left the trainer's room with good and bad news.  The bad news is that he is not medically cleared after suffering an injury from Cesaro & Shinsuke Nakamura at Extreme Rules losing the tag team titles.  However, the good news is that Big E can finally perform as a singles competitor.

In 2011, Big E ranked 215 out of 500 best singles wrestlers in the Pro Wrestling Illustrated.  This was during the time he was in the developmental territory in Florida Championship Wrestling (FCW).

On December 6, 2012, Big E won the NXT Championship by defeating Seth Rollins in a no disqualification match during an NXT TV taping.  He went on to defend the title against Conor O'Brian, Brad Maddox, and Damien Sandow.  Big E would later lose the title at the hands of Bo Dallas.

In WWE, Big E continued his success by becoming the WWE Intercontinental Champion (defeated Curtis Axel) and the eight time world tag team champions with The New Day (Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods).

The Big E solo run can have a great impact into his career.  He will be searching for the gold to become not only a world champion, but a triple crown winner.
