On the November 17 episode of Smackdown, Cody Rhodes was seen backstage talking to Smackdown General Manager Nick Aldis. Although it has yet to be mentioned as to why he was there. Rhodes could not help himself but intervene and help L.A. Knight from the Bloodline's Solo Sikoa and Jimmy Usos' attack. But why was Rhodes there? Was Raw General Manager Adam Pearce aware of Rhodes heading to Smackdown?
The American Nightmare may have been seeking the 5th member of his group for War Games as Drew McIntyre interfered in the undisputed tag team championship that cost Jey Uso and Rhodes the titles. McIntyre is now an affiliate of the Judgment Day. Kevin Owens is the most prominent partner with experience in the double-ring War Games. However, Owens is serving a suspension opposed by Aldis. With Knight not having a match at Survivor Series, could he join Rhodes as the 5th member?
