College Football Week 3 Results
Week 3 of College Football brought playoff caliber games, rivalries, and surprises. Here are the results and comments about the top 25 games:
(1) Alabama 31 (11) Florida 29
Alabama had a 21-3 lead in the first quarter. However, Florida bounced back outscoring 'Bama 20-10 in the second half. It was not enough to defeat the Crimson Tide but shows how vulnerable they are in defense.
(2) Georgia 40 South Carolina 13
The game was over at the end of the first quarter. Although it was 14-6, Bulldogs dominated on both sides of the ball. Georgia looks like a championship team.
(3) Oklahoma 23 Nebraska 16
The Sooners won their game but the biggest question is about Spencer Rattler. Is he a legitimate Heisman hopeful? His QBR rating has went down from last season. Overall, the Sooners look like an overrated team as of now.
4 Oregon 48 Stony Brook 7
5 Iowa 30 Kent State 7
(6) Clemson 14 Georgia Tech 8
Clemson has lost their mojo. DJ Uiagalelei seems to be degrading his position. His QBR rating dropped to 46.7. He did not pass over 200 yards in the game and the offense looked so flat. The Yellow Jackets who lost 73-7 last season and were dominated since 2015 came close to an upset.
7 Texas A&M 34 New Mexico 0
8 Cincinnati 38 Indiana 24
9 Ohio State 41 Tulsa 20
(10) Penn State 28 (22) Auburn 20
This event was the game of the week. Both teams played like it was the playoffs. In the first half, the game went back and forth with four lead changes. Penn State led at the half 14-10 and never looked back in the second half. Auburn had plenty of opportunities to gain momentum but could not take advantage. In the last drive, Bo Nix tried to pass to Demetris Robertson at the corner end zone but failed.
Penn State is at another level and they are looking better each game.
