Defenders 15 Battlehawks 6

The Defenders snap their two game losing streak by defeating the Battlehawks 15-9. Cardale Jones started the game for the Defenders but was benched after he threw an interception on their second possession of the first quarter. Tyree Jackson took over as Quarterback and did a safe job to maybe start another week. DC Head Coach Pep Hamilton dodged some questions pertaining to Jones about the benching but in reality, change was needed as Jones was not performing his duties well. Jackson went 9-of-14 completions for 39 yards, one touchdown. He is rated for 92 but that can be questionable the way the game was played. RBs Pressley and Pumphrey rushed 15 each for a total of 137 yards.

On the other side, Battlehawks met their match. DC Defenders' defense was spectacular. Ta'amu went 15-of-25 completions, 174 passing yards and sacked four times. The offense did not score a touchdown. Kicker Russolino made two of three field goals in the game.
