Dragons Outlasted Vipers 17-9

The second Saturday game had a very slow start in a fast paced game. By halftime, the score was Tampa Bay Vipers 3 and Seattle Dragons 0. The second half filled with excitement as the scores started to develop. Dragon's QB Silvers threw a pass for Hamlett but was intercepted by Viper's Mcfadden resulting in a "Pick 6." McFadden ran it back 78 yards for a touchdown. Vipers led 9-0. Silvers would answer back on the next possession by throwing a 68 yard pass to Reynolds for Dragon touchdown to narrow the lead 9-6. The Dragons defense stepped up by intercepting Viper's QB Flowers by Frazier. Frazier nearly sacked Flowers in the endzone but ended up what looked like a snatch as Flowers was throwing the ball and caught it for the touchdown. Dragons took the lead with a two point conversion 14-9 and never looked back.

For the Vipers, Head Coach Marc Trestman continued to use two Quarterbacks, Cornelius and Flowers, which could not find the endzone for the second time. Vipers have a total of 12 points, all resulting in four field goals this season. There was improvement in the defense as they held the Dragons to 17 points.

The Dragons earned their first win of the season. Give credit to the defense as they sacked the QB four times, 11 total tackles for a loss, and three interceptions.

Week 3: Tampa Bay Vipers will host Houston Roughnecks; Seattle Dragons will host the Dallas Renegades.
