Finn Balor woke The Ring General

It has been made official that Gunther will defend his world heavyweight championship title against Finn Balor at Saturday Night's Main Event on Saturday, December 14th, 2024. Balor has been with WWE for 10 years and seeks to get back on top, something he has been struggling with since he went down for an injury after winning the inaugural WWE Universal Championship over Seth Rollins.  

After Gunther picked up the win over Dominik Mysterio, Finn Balor attacked Gunther and punished him.  Balor made a statement to Dominik, saying, "Watch and learn, kid!"  

First, Balor telling Dominik to watch and learn, kid, is disrespectful. Second, Balor's action will have consequences for many reasons. He burned many bridges on Judgment Day. I do not believe they will side with Balor when he goes up against Gunther. Also, this will bring Damian Priest back and find a way to intervene with the title match, allowing Gunther to retain the title.  

For Gunther, the attack by Balor will boost his confidence and morale. Since losing to Cody Rhodes at Crown Jewel, Gunther had lost confidence in himself. He doubted he was a champion.  Now, there is reason for Gunther to elevate his spirits and go after "The Prince."  

The royal rumble will be the first PLE of 2025.  There can be a potential tiple-threat match between Damian Priest, Finn Balor, and Gunther.
