The Los Angeles Wildcats upset D.C. Defenders 39-9 to earn their first win of the season. Wildcats scored 21 points in the 2nd quarter and cruised throughout the game. Wildcats QB Josh Johnson completed 18-of-25 passes, 278 passing yards and three touchdowns. Running Back Martez Carter scored three touchdowns (2 rushes and 1 pass) as he was the highlight of the game.
For the Defenders, it was a shock to see the lack of production from Cardale Jones. Jones threw an unprecedented four interceptions, the most in the season. He tried to stay positive and continued to boost the team's morale but it did not work. The Defenders suffer their first loss in the season.
