Lanny Poffo passes away

Former WWE superstar, Lanny Poffo, younger brother of the late Randy Savage, died  at the age of 68.  He was known as "The Genius" and also "Leaping" Lanny Poffo during his time in the ring.  Poffo had his greatest success as the manager of "Mr. Perfect" Curt Hennig.  

Throughout his tenure in the wrestling industry, Poffo wrestled in these promotions - Atlantic Grand Prix, Gulf Coast Championship, International Championship, and NWA (Detroit, Mid-America).  each of the wrestling promotions held a heavyweight championship title.  Pro Wrestling Illustrated listed him as the top 500 best singles wrestlers in 2003.  

Pollo's last match in WWE was with the Beverly Brothers versus the Legion of Doom, 6-Person Tag match.  After wrestling, Poffo released a collection of poems and limericks about drug and alcohol awareness.  According to his biography, he leaves behind a daughter named Magen.
