Northeast Wrestling: Zero Fear Predictions
by: Ovi Muniz
Northeast Wrestling "Zero Fear" takes place on Sunday, July 24, at Waterbury PAL in Waterbury, Connecticut. WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle will make a special appearance and other elite superstars will take action such as Penta Oscuro, Jay Lethal, Mercedes Martinez, and much more
Here are the following predictions
AEW's Penta Oscuro vs Impact's Matt Taven
Taven is a fan favorite and he has done wonders training tag team champions Waves and Curls and Victorious BRG. But, Penta Oscuro is the phenomenal international superstar. I am going to be biased here because I am a huge fan of Pentagon JR. Therefore I choose Penta Oscuro to win.
Impacts' Vincent vs AEW's Jay Lethal
Both these superstars are no strangers to NEW. They are no strangers to each other, especially back in 2016 when Lethal defeated Vinny to retain the Ring of Honor World heavyweight Championship. Lethal gets it done again with a victory.
NEW Live Title match, Fatal 4 way.
JT Dunn, KC Navarro, Flip Gordon, and Alec Price will battle for the championship title. JT Dunn is the champion and the odds are not in his favor. He can lose the title without being pinned. Dunn won the title back at Spring Slam last April, winning the fatal 5 way. This Sunday, there is a strong possibility a new champion will be crowned. I am picking KC Navarro to become the NEW Live Champion.
Ring of Honor's Women's Championship
The Champion, Waterbury's own Mercedes Martinez defends her championship for the first time to her home crowd against Willow Nightingale. Last April, Martinez won by submission over Willow to capture the interim Ring of Honor Championship. She went on to defeat Deonna Purrazzo to become the undisputed champion. Willow has lost 8 of her last title matches. I do like both superstars and I do wish for Willow to be champion. But on Sunday, The Latina Sensation will deliver and retain the Ring of Honor Women's championship.
Wrecking Ball Legursky vs Dutch
In their last meeting, Legursky defeated Dutch at Flippin Out. I see the same outcome: Legursky will wreck the house.
Jake Manning returns to NEW since Wrestlefest 25. He takes on World Class Channing Thomas. Jake Manning for the win.
Victorious BRG will continue his winning streak and defeat Greg Baylor.
All the matches I have predicted are subject to change. Waves & Curls were supposed to defend their tag team championships against The Righteous. That match is not going to happen. I wonder if the Jersey Boys will make their presence. Also, Brick City Boys, Battle Academy, and more superstars to be announced. Especially NEW Heavyweight Champion Dan Maff and his new manager Vito will address the NEW Universe enlighten of what happened at Heat Wave with Mr. Northeast Wrestling, Brian Anthony.
This Sunday is going to be the equivalent of a Summerslam moment for the state of Connecticut. The HHWShow podcast will be there and hope that all of you will join me at Waterbury PAL for Northeast Wrestling.
