In the opening of Smackdown, AJ Styles announced his inclination to battle Roman Reigns at the Royal Rumble. However, LA Knight and later Randy Orton expressed their desire and be the one to battle the tribal chief. Smackdown General Manager decided that all three will collide in a triple-threat match at New Year's Revolution to become the number one contender and challenge Roman Reigns at the Royal Rumble.
Prediction: All three superstars have a valid point to be the chosen one to face Roman Reigns. However, it seems as Randy Orton is the preferred opponent. Styles is eager but has his own family business to take care of - The O.C. Knight lost to Reigns at Crown Jewel. Therefore, Orton is the top superstar. I do expect all three to participate in the main event Royal Rumble.
Later in the program, Reigns commanded Paul Heyman to have GM Nick Aldis to see him. During the conversation, Reigns explained that all decisions must be made through him. Aldis countered with statements such as Adam Pearce being "middle management" at the time and that he was more impressed with Solo Sikoa defeating John Cena than Reigns did in the past. Aldis is looking forward to more productive meetings with the undisputed champion.
OUTLOOK: Roman Reigns may had gotten his way with Adam Pearce. However, it is a tough battle now that Aldis made it known he is the boss. Reigns may seek his special counsel for assistance in handling Aldis and the near future of the Bloodline.
