RAW Results and Reaction 03.30
Last Monday was the last episode leading into WrestleMania. The Undertaker and AJ Styles, Edge and Randy Orton, Brock Lesnar and Drew McIntyre, Becky Lynch and Shayna Baszler all have great storylines built that will be hard to determine who will be victorious this weekend. Here are the results and reaction on RAW:
The Undertaker promo
Taker finally addressed the Universe and sent a strong message to AJ Styles in response to Style's promo last week. "AJ Styles, or should I say, Allen Jones, I mean since we are being real now. For such a small man you have a big mouth...your mouth is writing checks that your ass can't cash..." Taker went on to state that AJ Style could not handle the past and that is why he never was in the WWE but Japan. He understood the message loud and clear but bringing up his wife Michelle McCool stepped way out of bounds.
Undertaker and AJ Styles are set for a boneyard match. The boneyard match will consist of a match located at the cemetery with a six-feet whole in which the loser will be buried.
Aleister Black defeated Jason Cade
Black received a warm-up match to be ready for this weekend. Many reports were stating that Bobby Lashley would not be able to make the taping for WrestleMania. As of now, both superstars are active and will match this weekend.
Jason Cade is a new WWE superstar who debuted last night. He has wrestled in Legends of Wrestling, MLW, AAW, Ring of Honor and Impact Wrestling. Cade has over 100 matches and participated in nine pay per views. The New Yorker looks promising in NXT.
Street Profits and Kevin Owens defeated Angel Garza, Austin Theory, and Seth Rollins
Before the match, Zelina Vega announced that Andrade suffered an injury. Austin Theory is a replacement and will partner up with Angel Garza at WrestleMania. Theory has a great opportunity to shine. On April 8, Theory made his WWE in-ring debut and successfully defended the WWN Championship against Marcel Barthel. Last night, it looked like he botched a move when Montez Ford wiped him out during a dive. Replay showed on social media of Theory missing the catch on Ford's dive.
Kevin Owens ended the match by hitting Garza with a stunner and pinned him for the win. Afterward, Seth Rollins stomped him for a knockout.
Kevin Owens stated, "...the only thing you said that makes sense is that when you got to the WWE, you were told that nothing you accomplished before you got here matters. Your past no longer matters. That will never come true...The only thing that matters is you and me."
Owens will attempt to steal the show by fulfilling his WrestleMania moment and defeat Rollins who calls himself "The Messiah," "God."
Edge's promo from two weeks ago was very effective over Randy Orton. Last week, Orton accepted his challenge in the last standing match. The Rated-R Superstar was very passionate and convinced the universe he would be the last man standing in defense from Orton's RKO to his wife.
Asuka defeated Kayden Carter
The Empress of Tomorrow handled her business over Carter. Her promo may have been excellent if the viewers knew the translation. Being that the show was taped, WWE could have displayed captions to comprehend her message. The Kabuki Warriors will clash with Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross for the tag team titles.
Becky Lynch and Shayna Baszler
Lynch made her last presence before WrestleMania. However, during her promo, she was attacked from behind and put to sleep by Baszler. Baszler seems to have the upper hand in this storyline. She was dominant at the Elimination Chamber and demonstrated she is more powerful and skilled over Lynch. On the other side, Lynch has never backed down from a fight. She may have pinned Ronda Rousey at WrestleMania 35 but it was a triple threat match. Lynch will be faced with her biggest challenge when she goes one-on-one with Baszler.
