Raw Review 12.21

Raw kicked off with Charlotte Flair. The Queen returned to WWE at TLC as she joined Asuka as her tag team partner and defeated Nia Jax & Shayna Baszler for the Tag Team Titles. In the opening, she joined Asuka and were about to discuss their agreement as being partners. Before Charlotte was interrupted, she mentioned an opportunity at the Raw's Women's Championship. Jax and Basler intervened with verbal altercations. Mandy Rose and Dana Brook would join the fun.

WWE Announced that Raw Legends will appear in the January 4th episode, the first Raw show of 2021. Hulk Hogan, Ric Flair, and Kurt Angle are the feature names that will be in the show. More to follow on this update.

The R-Truth segment continues. While the Hurt Business celebrate their golds, R-Truth is behind them taking photo shots without Shelton Benjamin, Cedric Alexander, MVP, and Bobby Lashley noticing. Then, several members of the Raw roster run down the aisle to chase R-Truth. How long will the 24-7 title be a segment? WIth Raw rating falling to the all-time low, there needs to be a change on the 24-7 championship.

Matt Riddle and Jeff Hardy cut a promo. It was surprising to hear Riddle mention Joe Rogan's name in the mix. What was missing was a little Bro with the smoke (if you know what I mean) when Riddle kept stating, "you need to relax..." Eventually, Riddle and Hardy squared off against Lashley and MVP.

Angel Garza defeated Drew Gulak

Charlotte Flair & Asuka defeated Peyton Royce & Lacey Evans

The Miz apologized to AJ Styles. Miz chased in the MITB and forced the TLC match into a triple threat match during the PPV. Miz failed, ruined Styles chances, and Drew McIntyre remained as the WWE Champion.

Later, McIntyre, Sheamus, and Keith Lee appeared for the Six-Man Holiday Street Fight.

McIntyre, Sheamus, and Lee win!

However, Sheamus has an issue with Keith Lee. While both were tested with their egos, Sheamus attacked Lee from behind after the match. McIntyre had a few words for Sheamus.

(Awareness) If WWE is going to have McIntyre battle with Sheamus, this will be a great storyline to develop. McIntyre is defending Lee by questioning Sheamus of his action. Sooner or later, Sheamus is going to disagree with Drew and they may bump heads. After all, Lee teases the WWE Universe that Sheamus has an agenda to get his hands on the WWE Championship.

T-Bar defeated Ricochet

Jaxson Ryker defeated Gran Metalik

Alexa Bliss appeared at the end of the show with Randy Orton. Warning: The Fiend is going to be back soon. Randy Orton defeated The Fiend at TLC PPV in a Firefly Inferno match. While it looked like The Fiend died in the middle of the ring by Orton's arson. Bliss told Orton that he may be back.

If so, I am curious as to how the Fiend's new look will be.

What did we learn about Raw?

  • McIntyre will feud with either Keith Lee or Sheamus or both at the Royal Rumble.

  • It is left questioning the WWE Universe as to how the women's tag team division will elevate with Asuka and Charlotte tag team champions.

  • Angel Garza is back and still romancing his way with Sarah Schreiber.

  • Ricochet will be on next week to decide if he will join Retribution. If so, expect retribution to attack The Hurt Business.

  • Matt Riddle should get an opportunity for the United States Championship.

  • WWE Universe is left wondering about Asuka and the Raw Women's Championship. Will she have an opponent to defend the title?
