Red Sox and Braves Split; Marlins come to Fenway


The Red Sox ended up splitting the series 1 each with the Atlanta Braves. In Game 1, Charlie Morton pitch 7 solid innings retiring the last 13 batters he faced in a 3 to 1 win. IN Game 2, Renfroe and Devers homered plus the Red Sox scored four runs in the bottom half of the sixth inning, just before the rain delay. The Red Sox came out victorious with the score 9-5. Pivetta earned his sixth win of the season by pitching six innings, striking out 9 batters. He did give up 4 earned runs but thankfully enough, the Red Sox were able to score enough runs.


The Red Sox are now in second place behind the Rays by a half a game. They enter today to face the Miami Marlins who are 2.5 games behind the New York Mets in the NL East.
