Retribution was a heel faction that was led by Mustafa Ali. The group started strong with Ali being the hacker. The storyline had the WWE Universe trying to find clues as to who it was, what will happen, and how it will happen. Once the Retribution was discovered, the faction took it by storm and attacked whoever were in there way on Raw and Smackdown. The members that made up the group were Mace, Slapjack, Reckoning, and Retaliation. Ali had it going for a while but did not last long. Somehow, Retribution was not the group that the WWE Universe imagined it would be. Hence, looking at the direction the faction headed, they were not considered a real threat to anyone. Retribution became a split and it was for the best.
T-Bar and Mace remained together as tag teams. They surprised the fans with their presence to punish and attack Drew McIntyre on Raw. Ali, now a former leader of Retribution is just floating around. He was last defeated on April 5, Raw episode, by Riddle. That leaves Slapjack, Reckoning, and Retaliation as the only superstars in the group without a TV appearance since the dismantle of the group. Rumor has it that they may be headed to Smackdown.
T-Bar and Mace on Raw is great should they remain a tag team. And with Slapjack and Retaliation pending a Smackdown appearance, it works great for the tag team division. The WWE Tag Team divisions need an uplift as the priorities for the tag team has gone down. Maybe adding more teams can bring back the attention it deserves.
