Plans for WrestleMania 37
Triple H made a comment about having future WrestleMania events as a two-night event. While there are mixed emotions about the comment, do you think it is a great idea?
My View: UFC broadcasts three different viewings at times. It depends on the network and the pay per view cards. For example, UFC has "early preliminary cards" where you can only watch the fight on the UFC app, UFC Fight Pass. Then, there are Preliminary cards shown on ESPN. The matches on television will persuade you to buy the PPV event. Lastly, UFC broadcasts the main cards of the night on PPV. Sometimes, you can watch on ESPN television, then go to ESPN+ and order the fight to see the main cards.
WWE can implement this type of setting to and utilize the networks such as ESPN, FOX, and the USA Network. That way, WWE's WrestleMania can be a one-night event.
What are your thoughts? Should WWE go to two nights or one night?
Favorites to win the Men's Money in the Bank (MITB) Corporate Ladder Match.
The MITB will be a bizarre twist. For the first time, superstars will climb the corporate ladder to reach on top of the WWE HQ building to grab the briefcase.
Baron Corbin seems the favorite. Drew McIntyre and Braun Strowman are the babyface champions battling with their new rivals. Corbin can successfully cash in the bank with whomever, something he was not able to do because of John Cena's distraction when he had an opportunity to defeat Jinder Mahal. My money would be Drew McIntyre because they have history. It would be awesome to cash it while Seth Rollins attempts to defeat McIntyre for the title. Karma at its finest!
Aleister Black is my favorite wrestler entering the MITB for the first time. He defeated Austin Theory to qualify for the match. However, he has never won an event with four or more wrestlers in a match throughout his WWE career. The odds are not in his favor.
Daniel Bryan is the wild card on all this. He is a former Smackdown MITB winner and cashes in on The Big Show at WWE TLC 2011. He has the experience but is trying to bounce back in a winning streak after losing to the Intercontinental Champion Sami Zayn.
Rey Mysterio's odds are lesser than Bryan. Rey is still destined to challenge Andrade for the United States title. He had defeated Andrade and Angel Garza. Sadly, he had to be quarantined during the coronavirus pandemic, and Andrade suffered an injury.
Apollo Crews defeated MVP. The match does not help Crews prepare himself for the big match. It's almost as it was a bye week in the NFL. Crews is receiving a big push to be marketable. However, without the crowd being present, it is tough to know if he is worthy enough to be the main card performer.
Otis vs. Dolph Ziggler will be the last qualifying match for MITB. I predict Ziggler to win as he is the best performer for this scenario. Somehow, Ziggler will do whatever he can to get a win.
Favorites to win Women's MITB
Similar to the Men's MITB, the women will do the same.
My favorite to win is Lacey Evans. Time after time, she has not been able to defeat Smackdown Women's, Champion Bayley. While the storyline is building for Sasha Banks and Bayley, it would be perfect to have Evans take a back seat and let them beat each other senseless and then have Evans shock the world and cash in the big prize.
Shayna Baszler is the famous superstar to win. However, she is a cage fighter and nothing is stating that she can climb to high mountains. Even the most robust and baddest fighters can be scared of heights. Besides, she does not need to win the MITB when she can still have a rematch with Becky Lynch.
Asuka is the wild card. She has been working doubles as a tag team partner and singles competition. Asuka seeks revenge on Baszler as she lost to her at the Elimination Chamber.
Dana Brooke defeated Naomi to qualify for the match. Like Apollo Crews, she has been receiving a lot of attention. It is pretty hard to consider her the favorite, but anything can happen. She is athletic and most prepared to climb the ladder. Also, she lost the MITB match at the XL Center in Hartford, Connecticut, where Bayley won and cashed in that same night.
Nia Jax is the big dog in RAW. She defeated Kairi Sane twice. However, Jax has not had a competitive match since her return to prepare against her competition.
Carmella vs. Mandy Rose
I predict Carmella to win the match. Carmella has won the last two singles matches. With Sonya Deville targeting Rose, I would bet on Carmella to win and advance to MITB.
