Sasha Banks vs Bayley

10/13/2020

The partnership between Bayley and Sasha Banks came to an abrupt end when they both had a rematch for the Tag Team Championship on Friday Night Smackdown.  Frustration was boiling for Sasha as she shockingly attacked Banks. Her actions resulted Banks to be hospitalized with a neck injury.  Last Friday, it was a showdown for the Smackdown Championship.  Bayley purposely disqualified herself by using the chair against Bayley.  Therefore, a set match has been official.  Bayley and Banks will square off at Hell in the Cell for the Smackdown Women's Championship.

Which superstar has the advantage?

Bayley's last match at Hell in the Cell was in 2019 at Sacramento, California.  Charlotte applied the figure eight and made Bayley tap out.  Bayley was left crying while Charlotte posed as the new Smackdown Women's Champion.

Sasha Banks had an epic match with Becky Lynch that same night as they opened the show.  Eleven matches happened that night of the pay per view and Banks & Lynch had the best match of the night.  Lynch made Banks tap out by applying the arm bar.  Lynch remained Raw Women's Champion.

Both Banks and Bayley have something in common.  They both lost to Charlotte Flair to lose as champions.  So much similarities and they both find each other squaring off to break their own tie breaker in singles competition.  However, there is one differential that separates the two.

Bayley has had her moments in Pay Per View Events.  When the moment has risen in a PPV event, Bayley prevails.  On the other hand, Banks has not been successful in winning championships or retaining the title on pay per view events.  Can Sasha snap out of her funk and become champion and last longer than 28 days as a titleholder?  No matter the analytics, both Banks and Bayley will tear up Hell in the Cell and leave the PPV event as the top match of the night.
