Smackdown on FOX Results and Reaction 03.13

Friday Night Smackdown was quite unusual seeing that no fans were watching the show. The coronavirus pandemic forced all major professional sports and pro wrestling to alternate their schedules either, cancel, postpone, or relocate. As for WWE, the next few shows for Smackdown, RAW, and NXT will be televised at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida with no audience. Last Friday, the show went on starting with Triple H's introduction of the performance center facility. Here is the following result and reaction of the event:

Sasha Banks and Bayley defeated Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross

The show started with Banks and Bayley coming out asking questions to Michael Cole as to "where is Paige." Cole answered that travel issues for Paige could not make it to Orlando. Paige sent out a tweet...

"Sorry guys travel made it very hard for me to get there for #SmackdownLIVE with everything that's going on. Completely out of my control. [ :( ] very sorry...But at least @itsbayleyWWE is keeping you entertained."

Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross interrupted Banks and Bayley and ranted again from last week's episode on calling out The Kabuki Warriors. They wanted a fight and they got it. All four superstars looked solid but Asuka sneaked in and attacked Bliss from behind without the referee noticing. Banks executed the Bank Statement on Cross for the win.

Reaction: It is safe to say that Bliss and Cross will get their tag team title match versus The Kabuki Warriors at WrestleMania. Banks and Bayley are the first tag team champions in the division and they looked dominant more than ever before. Having Bayley lose the Smackdown title would not be bad but who would challenge her? Banks and Bayley can become two-time tag team champions should the opportunity arise. (RUMOR) Ronda Rousey was at WWE HQ proven by Cain Velasquez's picture on Instagram. Could Rousey be the big surprise for Smackdown?

Roman Reigns

There are no new storylines when you have a full-time superstar versus a part-time superstar. In this case, is Goldberg a part-time superstar? The legend only comes around in big events. A part-timer is usually 6 months of the year. Goldberg has made only three appearances and is scheduled to meet with Roman Reigns next week. Reigns' interview was good but it would help his drive if the crowd were in the building.

REPLAY-Tag Team Championship at WWE Elimination Chamber

With all the travel issues WWE had to go through, we can all understand that the show must go on. In this segment, it was a must to fill in a slot like a replay of the PPV event. Nonsubscribers of the WWE Network got to see that match. In the end, Miz and Morrison, tag team champions, had their promo. Expect, a triple threat match for the tag team titles at WrestleMania with Miz and Morrison vs The Usos vs The New Day.

Daniel Bryan defeated Cesaro

Bryan and Gulak finally come to terms thanks to the ignorant, pushover, bully, sarcastic character of Sami Zayn. Bryan matched with Cesaro and won the match. Shinsuke Nakamura attacked Bryan and later Zayn. Gulak came to the rescue only to be thrown into the steel steps.

Reaction: One person is missing on all this. Braun Strowman. I know he lost the title and the storyline moves on. However, Strowman was head targeted at the Elimination Chamber by Cesaro and Nakamura. Could we see Bryan vs Zayn for the Intercontinental Championship and Gulak and Strowman vs Cesaro and Nakamura?

Gulak tried to establish a relationship with Strowman with his PowerPoint presentation. It did not go well for him. Daniels can defend him and reunite them both in preparation to overthrow Zayn's little posse.

Jeff Hardy defeated King Corbin

Reaction: Hardy's return was not going down in a defeat. Hardy's win justifies that he will land somewhere in a bog match for WrestleMania. As for Corbin, it seems as though the title "KING" is not working for him. I hope that he gets rid of the crown after WrestleMania. Elias can be the guy to do it as he continues to play that tune.

Bray Wyatt and John Cena face-to-face

Reaction: John Cena is the man when it comes to mic-skills. Cena admitted he is not a Wyatt fan and he cannot wait to get rid of him. He does not accept Wyatt's reason from six years ago. He went on to explain how superstars used to blame him for their losses and the fact the reason they lost was laziness. Cena won matches, lost matches, and always found a way to bounce back better than ever. As he enters the ring every time, he carries the towel that states, "Never Give Up."

Wyatt was listening from the seats. He enters the ring and counterattacks, Cena, with his mic-skills. Wyatt is starting to listen to the voices in his head. His character is psycho and Cena is not budging. Both superstars dismissing each other with hate that the built-up feels so real than any other current storylines.
