Smackdown Preview 02.28

02/28/2020

Bray Wyatt and John Cena

Smackdown Women's Championship: Bayley defeated Naomi at Super Showdown. Many are predicting that Sasha Banks will challenge Bayley for the title at WrestleMania. But, they are best friends. Who will turn babyface? Could we see Carmella and Lacey Evans take a shot at Bayley? There is only one superstar who has a clear advantage over everyone and that is Bianca Belair. She does not have a storyline or a direction. Should the WWE change up the scenarios, Belair would be a perfect fit. However, the current Smackdown Women roster needs a big push and that person may aim at Sasha Banks.

Smackdown Tag Team Champions. The Miz and John Morrison defeated the New Day at Super showdown. The New Day may want a rematch but the Usos are making noises of their own. Ziggler and Roode would like a shot at the titles as well. Miz and Morrison are sitting well and overlooking the competition. They could sit and wait who would be the number one contender to challenge them at WrestleMania.

Intercontinental Champion - Braun Strowman is the current champion and his storyline is still with Shinske Nakamura. Sami Zayne is not pleased and is pushing for a rematch.

Sheamus is the rising superstar. He is seeking to become the first WWE superstar to earn the Ultimate GrandSlam title by winning the IC title. Sheamus is one out of six superstars that entered the Elimination Chamber.

Goldberg - Universal Champion. WWE announced that Goldberg will appear on Smackdown tonight. Roman Reigns is the big dog who is wanting his yard back. Goldberg is standing in his way. The battle of Spears is waiting to happen. I do not see any other match card better fitting than this one. Other superstars may want a shot at Goldberg and become Universal Champion. Common Sense...Reigns will confront Goldberg, followed by Sheamus, Strowman, Nakamura, Corbin, or Bryan. Tonight should be a clear picture on who will be in the Elimination Chamber and challenge the Universal Champion.

The Fiend - The Fiend should be more dangerous than ever before. I do not believe losing the title is important for Bray Wyatt. However, legends or part-timers are not what the Fiend likes. Therefore, be prepared for The Fiend to chase Cena. The Fiend never forgets but technically, Bray did settle the score with Cena in the past. Would there be another superstar that The Fiend would like to eliminate? More to follow on the Fiend should he target Cena.

But what about getting back at Goldberg? Could we see a rematch at the Elimination Chamber?

Stay tuned for the reaction on tonight's Smackdown on FOX.
