TLC 2020 Predictions

12/18/2020

TLC 2020 is the final pay-per-view of the year and it happens this Sunday, December 20, 2020, in the ThunderDome. The TLC comes from the tradition Tables, Ladders, and Chairs that originated from the legendary tag teams - Hardy Boyz, Edge & Christian, and Dudley Boyz.

The show will stream live on the WWE NEtwork beginning at 6pm ET with the Kickoff Show. Here are the following match cards and prediction:

Universal Championship Roman Reigns (C) vs Kevin Owens (TLC): The match is all about respect. Owens got involved after Jey Uso intervened in the Intercontinental Championship match (Daniel Bryan vs Sami Zayn). Uso was frustrated from the unkind words Reigns pressured him about the family not being respected. Uso attacked Bryan without referee knowledge. Zayn won by count-out to remain IC champion. Owens went after Uso so that led the storyline with Roman Reigns. Reigns is the head of the table while Owens fights to provide food on the table for his family. However you want to sum it up, the match is deemed to be epic.

Roman Reigns retains the Universal title

WWE Championship Drew McIntyre (C) vs AJ Styles (TLC Match): Styles earned his way by winning a triple threat match against Riddle and Keith Lee. There is another person who wants his hands on the title and he is the Money In The Bank holder, The Miz. If there is anytime to cash in the briefcase, it will be this Sunday. With tables, chairs, and ladders used in this match, whoever wins the match will not be close to 50% strength.

Drew wins, The Miz becomes new WWE Champion.

Smackdown Women's Championship Sasha Bank (C) vs Carmella: Carmella began the storyline attacking Banks. On several occasions, she made surprise attacks to get Banks attention. Carmella is seeking to become a two-time Smackdown Champion but Banks has just begun her title reign. For the first time, Banks has held the title for more than 28 days. She is currently reigning the title for 51 plus days and seeks to maintain her status all the way to WrestleMania.

Sasha Banks retains as Smackdown Champion.

The Fiend "Bray Wyatt" vs Randy Orton: If you know the history of The Fiend, you know that revenge is his greatest strength. On the other hand, Orton seems to have The Fiend's number by exploiting his care for Alexa Bliss.

The Fiend wins.

Women's Tag Team Championship Nia Jax & Shayna Baszler (C) vs Asuka & TBD.

The main part of this storyline is Lana. Lana has been excruciated. For two months, she got smashed on the announcer's table nearly ten times. But that did not stop the success for Lana as she won a battle royal to be involved in the Survivor Series. Also, she was the last Survivor and won the elimination match to give Smackdown a point at the Survivor Series PPV. Lana teamed up with Asuka and defeated the tag team champions two consecutive weeks. On Raw, Lana earned her victory over Jax but paid the price. Jax and Bazler attacked Lana that forced her to be removed for a title shot. Asuka will have to find a new tag team partner to challengeJax and Baszler.

Asuka and TBD become new tag team champions.

Raw Tag Team Championship The New Day (C) vs The Hurt Business: The Hurt Business has failed time after time to win the titles. Cedric Alexander and Shelton Benjamin defeated Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods when the titles were not on the line. But when it comes to an official match, the one person that has not succeeded is Benjamin. Benjamin has taken the pin fall and that may be a factor this Sunday. In another point of view, WWE has kept The Hurt Business to chase the titles. After three attempts, there has been no success. But a fourth can get them the edge.

The New Day retains the titles.
