Ken Shamrock, Ronda Rousey, and Matt Riddle all made the jump from the UFC octagon to the WWE ring. Then there is Brock Lesnar and CM Punk, who went from WWE to UFC. With both organizations having a good working relationship to allow these crossovers to happen, the question arises who will be the next crossover superstar?

After former UFC light heavyweight champion, Daniel Cormier, defeated UFC heavyweight champion, Stipe Miocic, on July 7th, 2018, to become a double champion, Cormier was met in the middle of the octagon by Brock Lesnar. While the fight between Cormier and Lesnar never materialized, Cormier recently retiring now he can finish off what was started that night in the middle of the UFC octagon in the WWE ring. Outside of Cormier's experience in the octagon, he is also a former NCAA All-American and 2-time olympian. When Smackdown was moving over to Fox, rumored that Cormier was under consideration for commentating because of his experience commentating for the UFC. In an interview with Sports

Illustrated, Cormier said, "Pro wrestling? I'm all in". Cormier would be able to make the switch with ease due to his combat sports background, but also he is a big WWE fan.

Another former UFC fighter that would make a good fit in the WWE is Ben Askren. On August 19th Askren posted on his Instagram a picture of him and Triple H facetiming captioned with the thinking emoji, bringing up speculation on Askren joining WWE. While Askren is best known

for being on the wrong side of a 5-second flying knee knockout from Jorge Masvidal, he is still an accomplished combat sports athlete. Askren is a four-time NCAA All-American, two time NCAA

champion, Olympian, and former Bellator and ONE Championship welterweight champion.

Askren's resume speaks for itself; however, not only his athletic ability would make him a great WWE superstar is his trash talk. Due to his ability to run his mouth on Twitter, he was able to come into the UFC, get three fights with the top 10 opponents, and make multiple other enemies in the welterweight division.

Some crossovers have had success in the other organization, and some have not, and many UFC fighters have the athletic ability to find success in WWE. Cormier and Askren both have a passion for sports entertainment to be great WWE superstars.
