WWE Championship Week

Asuka (C) vs Charlotte Flair

On Monday Night Raw, the Raw Women's Championship will be on the line as Asuka defends her title against Charlotte Flair. This will be their 28th interaction mixed with 6 -man, 10-man tag teams, triple threat matches, and singles competition. Most notable matches are as follows:

  • First meet - Asuka and The Miz defeated Bobby Roode and Charlotte Flair in the WWE Mixed Match Challenge Finals.
  • WrestleMania 34 - Charlotte retained the Smackdown Women's Championship and stopped Asuka's undefeated winning streak.
  • Starrcade 2018 - Flair won
  • Smackdown Live event - Asuka lost the Smackdown title.
  • Triple Threat matches - Asuka became the new Smackdown Champion at TLC 2018 defeating Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair. Overall, Asuka has two wins and two losses in this type of match with Charlotte. Charlotte is 0-for-4.
  • On November 25, 2019, Asuka earned her first win over Charlotte.

Overall, Charlotte has four wins and one loss in singles competition. Charlotte has an advantage over Asuka and is favorable to win this Monday. However, Asuka has a chance to prove to everyone that she is a more excellent champion and better than two weeks ago when Charlotte dominated the match.

Sasha Banks and WWE Smackdown Champion Bayley (C) vs. The IIconics

The IIconics (Billie kay and Peyton Royce) have a shot at dismantling the Tag Team Champions. Kay and Royce won the tag team championships at Wrestlemania 35 in a Fatal-4-Way tag match. They would hold the title for four months and lose to Alexa Bliss & Nikki Cross on Monday Night Raw in a four-way elimination tag match.

For Sasha Bank and Bayley, they made history by becoming the new two-time women's tag team champions by defeating Alexa Bliss & Nikki Cross. They successfully defended their titles by winning at Backlash 2020 in a triple threat match that included the teams mentioned and defeated Shotzi NBlackheart & Tegon Nox at NXT.

This match is scheduled to be a traditional tag team match for the tag team titles. Whoever loses this match may be subject to the team being separated. Most in the Wrestling Community and the staffers in WWE are watching closely as to when Sasha Banks and Bayley will turn at each other. On the other hand, Royce has been out of control that led Kay to slap her into reality.

Apollo Crews (C) vs. Shelton Benjamin (MVP) (?)

This is not an official match as of yet. After their match on Monday Night Raw, MVP approached Shelton Benjamin to find a way to get a chance for the United States Championship. Crews win over Benjamin was not of a fighting champion.

The Street Profits vs The Viking Raiders

The Big Show had a great idea for the two tag teams to break the tie. If there is no distraction or outside-ring activity, the titles can be defended and we can finally see The Street Profits and The Viking Raiders settle their score. Despite the extracurricular activity, The Street Profits struggle to defeat the Viking Raiders inside the ring. Will there be a new champion on Monday?

The North American Championship match is scheduled between the champion Keith Lee, Finn Balor, and Johnny Gargano in a triple threat match. The winner will challenge the NXT Champion on July 8.

A.J. Styles lost to Matt Riddle last Friday. That would make Riddle the number one contender for the Intercontinental Title. WWE has Styles to challenge Drew Gulak for the championship. There might be an incentive for Riddle as he may find himself in a match with Baron Corbin. King Corbin had some words with Riddle during the match outside the ring.

Braun Strowman and Bray Wyatt have some unfinished business. On the contrary, Otis holds the MITB briefcase.
