WWE Raw Results and Reaction 09.07

09/07/2020

WWE Raw starts off with Randy Orton on the microphone.  After stating how he is in the title contention and for Drew McIntyre to give up the title, an ambulance enters the arena.  It is McIntyre in pursuit and goes in the ring and claymores Orton.  No words needed from the psychopath as his actions spoke louder than words.

Still to come: Keith Lee vs Orton; Dominik Mysterio vs Murphy; Kevin Owens vs Aleister Black in Raw Underground.

The Hurt Business defeated Apollo Crews, Ricochet, and Cedric Alexander

The highlight of this match is that Cedric Alexander has turned heel.  Alexander attacked Ricochet and executed his signature move on Crews.  That allowed the Hurt Business to get an easy victory.  No reason as of yet on why Alexander turned on his own friends.

Street Profits defeated Andrade & Angel Garza

The night is all about deceit.  Garza has a history of being selfish and thoughtless as a tag team member.  Andrade and Zelina Vega are serious about in-ring action while Garza thinks of other priorities with Demi.  In this match, Garza is sick and tired of being yelled at.  He walks away while leaving Andrade vulnerable against the Street Profits.  Montez Ford pins Andrade for the win.

However, the Smackdown tag team champions Cesaro and Shinsuke Nakamura make their visit and issued a challenge to the Raw tag Team champions.  Next week, tag team champions Smackdown vs Raw.

Peyton Royce defeated Billy Kay

The IIConics split up after losing to the Riott Squad.  Tonight, they faced each other as their first singles match without being a team.  Royce hit the back breaker for the win.  After the match, they both hugged each other.

Asuka & Mickie James defeated Natalya & Lana

Easy victory as expected.  Next week, Asuka goes one-on-one with James for the Raw Women's Championship.

The Hurt Business defeated the Viking Raiders, Apollo Crews, & Ricochet

Cedric pinned Ricochet for the win.  However, replay shows that Ricochet kicked out before the three count.  This is more than likely setting up a one-on-one next week.

Keith Lee and Randy Orton ended in Disqualification.  (Orton wins)

Drew McIntyre struck the claymore at Orton to stop the match.  It is the second time tonight.  McIntyre, who is not cleared to be in the ring, looked okay to match at Clash of Champions.

Reaction: Drew seems to get even at Orton.  But he needs to be careful about Keith Lee.  Lee is not that type of guy for others to interfere in his matches.  For Orton, he started from the top and is hitting rock bottom.  He can only go up from here.  Will this result in Orton to take the title away from McIntyre at Clash of Champions?

Aleister Black and Kevin Owens at Raw Underground

Both superstars went at it but nothing came about with a victory.  After another showing, there was a moment that both superstars were fighting spectators to clear out the way.  In the final showing, both Black and Owens were laid out by Dabba Kato.

Riott Squad defeated Shayna Baszler in a Handicap Match

Retribution interrupts handicap match
