WWE releases top superstars

WWE released a statement in their website that they have come to terms on the releases of Braun Strowman, Aleister black, Murphy, Ruby Riott and Santana Garrett.

Braun Strowman, real name - Adam Scherr, last wrestled on May 16.  He lost the triple threat match for the WWE Championship.  The Monster Among Men made the main roster in 2015.  His accomplishments is as follows:

WWE Universal Champion

WWE Intercontinental Champion

Raw Tag Team Champion (2 times)

Greatest Royal Rumble Winner 2018

Money In The Bank Winner 2018

Andre the Giant Battle Royal Winner 2019.

Aleister Black is a surprise release from Smackdown.  Black made his return with several promos.  Last Friday, he assaulted Big E and distracted him from becoming an Intercontinental Champion.  Black last wrestled on October 20, 2020.  He had seen his wife, Zelina Vega fired in November 2020.  Since being called up to the main roster from NXT, Black had been active when Paul Heyman was the executive producer.  Since Heyman left that role, he has not been utilized well.

Lana leaves WWE and will more than likely join her husband, former WWE Rusev.  Lana played a huge role to help Rusev become popular in the WWE.  She also played a role in a breakup and flirted with Bobby Lashley.  Lana's last gimmick was to get back at Nia Jax and prove everyone wrong that she can wrestle and be a tag team champion alongside with Naomi.  Unfortunately, her goals with WWE has ended.

Murphy departs after wrestling three times in 2021.  Murphy made his presence during Seth Rollin's promo but was dismissed.  Murphy was supposed to be the next promising star for WWE.  The best feud he had was with Aleister Black.

Ruby Riott received the pink slip.  She was the one-half of the Riott Squad, tagging with Liv Morgan.  It is dumbfounded to see this caliber wrestler, who battled to return from injuries, to be let go.

And finally Santana Garrett, she is one of the best female wrestlers in the industry.  She never received a chance to shine in the WWE.  She is a former world champion in over 10 promotions.  PWI voted her as ranked number 4 in the 2015 Top 50 female superstars.  Garrett has been ranked top superstars each year since 2013.

On behalf of the HHWShow Podcast, we wish them the best and hope to see them make a comeback soon.
