WWE Summerslam Early Prediction: Follow Up

07/13/2023

WWE Summerslam 2023 will be a night of surprises and upsets, with titles subject to changing hands. The event will occur on Saturday, August 5, 2023, at Ford Field in Detroit, Michigan. This marks WWE's first event at Ford Field since WrestleMania 23 in April 2007 and the first Summerslam held in Michigan since 1993.

The main event may feature the Cinema of the Bloodline. It needs to be clarified if it will be the final chapter. Still, the prediction is accurate from a previous blog that Roman Reigns will defend his championship title against Jey Uso. Should Jey win, it will be the biggest upset of all Summerslam events.

Other matches that were predicted corrected are the following:

Ronda Rousey vs. Shayna Baszler

Gunther vs. Drew McIntyre for the Intercontinental Championship.

Cody Rhodes vs. Brock Lesnar Part III.

Other notable matches that are not official as of yet:

Asuka vs. Charlotte vs. Bianca Belair, triple threat match for the WWE Women's Championship.

Austin Theory vs. Sheamus for the United States Championship.

Grayson Waller vs. Edge (rematch?)

Rhea Ripley vs. Raquel Rodriguez for the Women's World Championship.

Kevin Owens & Samy Zayn vs. The Imperium

Key Notes:

Damian Priest defeated Sheamus to become the United States Champion in Summerslam 2021. Could he reach a milestone by cashing in the MITB briefcase and becoming the world champion?

Austin Theory failed to win the United States Championship against Bobby Lashley. Since he is the current U.S. Champion, will he lose the title to his opponent? (Potentially to Sheamus)

Ronda Rousey could have a better record at Summerslam. She lost to Liv Morgan and failed to capture the Smackdown Championship. Rousey may fall again to Baszler.

Roman Reigns is undefeated in singles competition in Summerslam. Key victories were against Randy Orton, twice with Brock Lesnar, and John Cena. Reigns failed to capture the U.S. title against Rusev, which was called a no-contest. Other appearances were the Shield. Roman and Dean Ambrose defeated the Wyatt Family. The only match he lost was a fatal-4 way for the Universal title. Brock Lesnar had won.

Summerslam 2023 will be a night of surprises and upsets, and the event's aftermath will be spectacular. It will be interesting to see how the WWE Universe reacts to Summerslam's events in the coming weeks.
